Good idea and intention… just missing something in execution.
So objectively, this product did well with firm vegetables like a pumpkin, provided that you don’t cut the slices too thick. If your slice is a bit on the hefty side, if you squeeze hard enough you will eventually get it through the blades, but there is a constant thought of squashing one of your digits while you do it. Note your fingers are not near the blades, it’s more a compression between the outer edges of the plastic but I am happy to continue using it despite the risk.
For softer fruits like strawberries and banana, the slicing function wasn’t great as seemed to squeeze the topside of the fruit before it passes through the blades and thus a number of the slices were a little misshapen out the other side. There may be a trick to getting softer foods to slide easier through it so when I work it out, i’ll let you know.
Overall it looks good, has a reasonable sturdiness about it but may not be the ideal tool for those who would use it predominately for soft foods
